I am going to let you in on a little secret – I have never ever celebrated Valentine’s Day. Shhhhh!!!
Yes, it is true. Somehow I have never felt the need to mark a particular day to celebrate love. But as a self-appointed party planner, I had to do something about it.
Only when I started planning and crafting for Valentine’s Day, I realised how beautiful it is to celebrate an emotion that is best of all emotions Love!
Valentine’s Day is all about celebrating love and I decided to celebrate it with my son. I would have loved to celebrate it with my scissors and my crafting supplies but I don’t think that it is socially acceptable yet. Also, there is no way I can convince my husband to celebrate it so…
“Love is all you Need”
Well, sure you need love, but what about Chocolates and Cupcakes and Doughnuts and Sprinkles and Confetti?
I put together a few of my son’s favourite things and maybe mine too. I made him a Tray of stuff which he truly loves. So the tray consists of –
- A cupcake (Theobroma)
- A heart-shaped jam-filled doughnut (Mad Over Doughnuts)
- Strawberry Milkshake with lots of sprinkles
- A bag of Hershey Kisses
- 3 D glasses
- A movie ticket for 2 to watch Jumanji coz we both love that movie
- A promise to buy him pizza.
- 2 lip props to take pictures
Another thing he really loves is Books. But I just can’t think of a suitable book to give him for Valentine’s day. Any suggestions?
I did up a little table set-up and a few props for my readers to get inspired from. I am not having a party but maybe you get inspired and have one. Please share if you are planning a party for Valentine’s Day and let me know what you plan to do for your Valentine.
